I am redacting the names as the message here is what I find immensely telling.
Dear employee,
On Thursday November 28th 2013, (enter dead guy's name here) passed away. (Dead guy) worked at (insert corporation here) for almost thirty years.
He will be missed.
Sincerely,
(So and So)
General Manager
That's it.
Thirty fucking years the guy worked there and it was summed up in one sentence.
No mention that he croaked on Thanksgiving day.
Also no mention that the poor bastard got diagnosed with cancer two months ago and worked until the day he was so sick he couldn't get out of bed.
No condolences to the family or anything like that.
Thirty fucking years.

This is what loyalty gets ya these days.
