Position: Business Unit Accounting and Finance Manager
Location: Milpitas, CA
Duration: Full time

KLA-Tencor seeks division controller for its KT-Certified division who will be responsible for the processes that support the division’s business decisions. The primarily responsibilities include the following:
1) Manage general accounting activities such as: 
o Provide timely and accurate accounting guidance to support the business and its complex transactions
o Establish, maintain and improve policies, procedures and controls related to the business and its specific challenges
o Anticipate accounting issues and challenges to guide and advise the division business leaders

2) Manage the periodic financial statement close process , which includes the following:
oEnsure accurate and timely close of the financial statements within established corporate timeline
o Ensure accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting and financial data
o Prepare financial statements and related reporting packages for management to support period end reporting requirements
o Articulate accurately the key transactions and its implications during period-end
o Assist with SOX compliance and internal and external audit

3) Manage financial forecast and strategic planning for the business:
o Act as a liaison with business functions and corporate finance
o Prepare and manage financial forecasts for the business
o Analyzing financial statements in varying circumstances
o Be able to articulate the key business drivers to various audiences
o Work directly with general manager, sales and marketing team, and the multi-faceted operations team
o Communicate with various levels of management, and effectively explains and interprets data and provide value through solutions

4) Drive ad hoc projects by working cross-functionally with sales, operations, marketing, etc
5)Responsible for one direct report

Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment, and to make well-reasoned and timely decisions
• Ability to perform at a high degree of accuracy, achieves results with diligence and precision
• Must be flexible and be able to work under pressure
• Organized, able to multi-task and prioritize in fast-paced environment, with exceptional project and time management skills
• Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills across multiple levels, functions, and locations
• Excellent problem-solving and strong analytical skills
• Understand how to scale a team to serve growing requirements and drive process improvements for efficiency

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA or MBA is a plus
• 6+ years of related experience.
• Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, etc)
