In the early part of this year, Napolitano stated that a cyber 9/11 attack is imminent. A believable justification for Napolitano’s unanticipated departure as DHS director has never been revealed. Given her very public and ominous warnings about an impending cyber grid take down in the US, might be the main impetus for her departure from the position of DHS director. During her tenure as DHS director, she has done next to nothing to prevent such an attack upon our power grid and infrastructure. This is certainly a legitimate possibility raised by the WSJ. However, since this is a recent trend, and the unplugging of major corporations from the power grid is a trend which coincides with the announced Grid EX II drill which is commencing on November 13th, one has to wonder if these monolithic corporations don’t know something that the rest of us should know. Adding fuel to the fire, other such notables such as Verizon Communications and Edison International are also unplugging from the grid.</div><div style="border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-size: 14px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: invert none 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Although the WSJ went on to focus on the notion that the recent trend of self-power generation is hurtful to utility companies and cuts into their bottom line, there are other lingering concerns. This could collapse the economy of America and give Obama the opening to stage a military coup and take over America as intended dictator for life. By exposure of serious evidence and testimony pointing to a conspiracy of high treason now going on from the White House under Obama, I hopefully have put too much heat on them in my national reports so they judge the risk is too great to try a collapse of America and military takeover of America. In case traitors try to make an attempt to overthrow the United States of America, I will declare that the location of Roanoke County, Virginia will be the starting location to set up a new national government for America. As for permanent location, that can be decided later. There are reasons for this choice of location. We have the right banking connections, so foresee no problem in exchanges when the right time comes for an RV. While the grid, which remains intact today, has proven to be highly effective, the night of November 9, 1965 serves as a reminder of how thoroughly our electricity-dependent lifestyles are tightly interwoven with the complex workings of a massive but often overlooked technological system.<br />At 5:27 p.m., November 9, 1965, the entire Northeast area of the United States and large parts of Canada went dark. From Buffalo to the eastern border of New Hampshire and from New York City to Ontario, a massive power outage struck without warning. Trains were stuck between subway stops. People were trapped in elevators. Failed traffic signals stopped traffic dead. And, at the height of the Cold War, many thought Armageddon had arrived. One pilot flying over a darkened New York City stated, "I thought, 'another Pearl Harbor!'" By 5:40 p.m. that evening, 80,000 square miles of the Northeast United States and Ontario, Canada, were without power, leaving 30 million people in the dark.<br />New York City was particularly hit by this blackout, due to its reliance on electricity for nearly all aspects of city life. Office workers, ready for an evening at home with their families in the suburbs, were forced to find alternative lodging, some seeking shelter in their offices or on benches in Grand Central Station. Theaters closed for the night. The "Great White Way," Times Square, usually a glimmering crossroads of light, was covered in darkness. Thousands of travelers stranded in New York were forced to sleep in hotel lobbies, leading the Times to report that the "city's hotels looked like biovac areas." Approximately ten thousand commuters were stuck on subway cars, unable to escape the darkened tunnels. By midnight, the Transit Authority began sending food and coffee to those trapped underground.<br />Despite the confusion and disarray, New Yorkers spent the night in peace. There were no riots or widespread looting. Instead, New Yorkers helped each other. Some directed traffic. Others assisted the New York fire department as they rescued stranded subway passengers. In many cases, New Yorkers just shared extra candles and flashlights with neighbors, reveling in the opportunity to get to know the people who lived across the hall.<br />By 11 o'clock, the power was restored in 75 percent of Brooklyn, and by 2 a.m., the borough was fully equipped with electric power. By midnight, much if the Bronx and Queens were lit. And, at 6:58 a.m., almost fourteen hours after the massive blackout struck New York, power was restored citywide.<br />It took six days to locate the cause. Federal Power Commission investigators found a single faulty relay at the Sir Adam Beck Station no. 2 in Ontario, Canada, which caused a key transmission line to disconnect ("open"). This small failure triggered a sequence of escalating line overloads that quickly raced down the main trunk lines of the grid, separating major generation sources from load centers and weakening the entire system with each subsequent separation. As town after town went dark throughout the northeast, power plants in the New York City area automatically shut themselves off to prevent the surging grid from overloading their turbines. Within a quarter of an hour the entire CANUSE area was down. (Roots champion T Bone Burnett produced both albums.) “It’s the most adult record I can make at my age,” John said earlier this year.</p> <p></p> <p>But in a concert aimed straight for the heart of the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer’s majority of fans – he played 28 songs, half of which hit the Top 40 – the handful of new songs he slipped in held up well.  “Voyeur,” in particular, built to the full, lush orchestral sound the singer has made his trademark.</p> <p></p> <p>If he’s content at this point to make intimate records that please himself, Elton John knows better than most which side his bread is buttered on. “It’s an amazing life I lead,” he said before introducing his band. “I love it so much, the connection between both of us.” In that relationship, the “other” is his collective audience, and he loves to love them, and to be loved.</p> <p></p> <p>The show began with the complete first side of <em>Goodbye Yellow Brick Road</em>, from the epic “Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding” to “Candle in the Wind” and “Bennie and the Jets,” with the latter drawing a huge roar after one chord. <div id="yom-ad-LREC" class="yom-ad yom-ad-LREC"> <center> <div id="yom-ad-LREC-iframe" class="yom-ad"></div> </center> </div> <p><br></p> <p>By Noreen O’Donnell</p> <div class="body-slot-mod"> <div class="yom-remote"> <div class="yom-loading" id="mediacontentrelatedstory_container"></div> </div> </div> <p>(Reuters) – A Utah doctor was found guilty early Saturday of murdering his wife by drugging her with pain killers and sleeping pills and drowning her in a bathtub, local media reported.</p> <p>The verdict against Martin MacNeill, 57, came more than six years after Michele MacNeill was found unconscious in the bathtub in the couple’s home south of Salt Lake City.</p> <p>The verdict came about 1 a.m., after the jury had deliberated for 11 hours, according to the Deseret News.</p> <p>MacNeill’s death was originally ruled natural, due to “chronic hypertension and myocarditis,” according to court documents.</p> <p>But three years later, at her children’s urging, a second look at her toxicology report prompted the chief medical examiner to change the cause of death to the combined effects of heart disease and drug toxicity, and the manner of death was classified “undetermined.”</p> <p>Last year, Martin MacNeill was charged with first-degree felony murder and second-degree felony obstruction of justice.</p> <p>He was accused of giving his 50-year-old wife drugs after insisting she get a facelift. She had the plastic surgery about a week before she was discovered in the tub by her then 6-year-old daughter, the youngest of her eight children.</p> <p>MacNeill and a neighbor tried to resuscitate her but were unsuccessful, testimony showed.</p> <p>His motive was his mistress, Gypsy Willis, a younger woman whom he moved into the family’s home within weeks of his wife’s death, according to prosecutors.</p> <p>MacNeill showed no emotion as the verdict was read, but he hugged defense attorney Randall Spencer and said, “It’s okay, really,” the Deseret News reported.</p> <p>MacNeill’s daughters Alexis Somers and Rachel MacNeill, who had fought for years for an investigation into their mother’s death, cried out when the verdict was announced.</p> <p>“We are just so happy he can’t hurt anyone else,” Somers said afterward, tears streaming down her face, the newspaper reported. “I can’t believe this has finally happened. We’re so grateful.”</p> <p>She said the Provo courtroom was filled with people who had loved her mother.</p> <p>“We’re absolutely thrilled,” prosecutor Chad Grunander told CNN after the verdict.
