<strong>Technology & Technical Services Manager - </strong><strong><strong><span style="color: #48286d;">Avon Free Public Library</span></strong></strong>. Energetic, enthusiastic, tech-savvy, customer service oriented and professional to lead Technology and Technical Services Departments in a vibrant public library with recently expanded and renovated facility. Examples of Essential Job Duties: Coordinates strategic planning for technology, including defining needs and goals, evaluating and recommending solutions, and establishing maintenance, security, and disaster recovery procedures. Coordinates library-wide training on use of automated systems, creating in-house documentation as needed. Serves as systems administrator for Library's local area network, including installation, maintenance, security, backup, upgrade, repair, and monitoring of workstations, servers, software, and network hardware. Supervises technical services department, including ordering, cataloging and processing books and other library materials. Serves as liaison between library and automation vendors and companies contracted for technical support. Maintains library's webpage and social media presence. Keeps current of all new technological procedures, processes and equipment. Requirements: Master’s Degree in Library Science and two years of progressively responsible experience in library work. Full-time position (37.5 hours per week which includes, 1 evening/week, and Saturday rotation) with all applicable Town benefits. Salary is dependent on qualifications.
