Seriously, at the pace she’s going she HAS to get down to me eventually, right? In fact, I’m guessing it happens in 2013. Late in the year, but it happens. It will be a glorious two weeks. I couldn’t get warm tonight so decided to put on a pair of socks. They helped but one of them had a hole in them so they weren’t as effective as they could have been. Anyway, we were originally told we would get up to 10 inches of snow. Instead we got less than two inches and it was gone by noon. What a huge disappointment. Just like me. <br /><br />So how was everyone’s Christmas? That’s great. I had a pretty good Christmas but I’m glad it’s over. I like Christmas but by the time I watch “A Christmas Story” then open presents, then make Christmas dinner and basically eat until I hate myself, I’m ready for it to all be over. I would have taken down the tree today but I was too lazy. <br /><br />Between college football bowl games, the NFL over the weekend and all those NBA games on Xmas Day, I watched a butt-load of sports the last few days. This caused me to post this over on the <a href="http://news-these-days.tumblr.com/" target="_blank">Tumblr</a> Blog (with apologies to <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNtRO3IrGg4" target="_blank">George Carlin</a>) … <br /><br /><i>“I’m a scrappy, five-tool impact player who can take over a game and score from anywhere. I’m a tough, hard-nosed, old-school winner who can flat out play. I’m the consummate team player who can come off the bench and provide a spark by bringing a lot of energy to the game and get stronger as the game goes on. I’ve silenced my critics by being a great chemistry guy in the locker room and a go-to guy in the clutch who knows what it takes to win and if I’m even I’m leavin’.”</i><br /><br />You know, I might just give up watching sports in 2013. I’ll have to wait until after the BCS Championship game of course. And, there’s the Super Bowl, don’t wanna miss that. I’ll still watch the NBA too but that’s probably it. Maybe I’ll watch Arkansas in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament if they make it. And the Four if Duke isn’t playing in it. Of course, I’ll want to watch the Master’s golf tournament and the US Open and British Open, but that’s all the golf I’ll watch. So yeah, that’s pretty much giving up sports. Well, until college football season rolls around again next fall. <br /><br />Oops! Well, the old Midnight Easter Standard Time deadline just passed. I think this is the first deadline I’ve missed since we started this blog. Not that anyone will notice because I’ll just manually set the time so everything will look normal. And Matt-Man is old so he’s already asleep and won’t see this until tomorrow. So that’s cool. <br /><br />Well, it’s time to find a hot picture of Taylor Swift and get this all uploaded so I can go to bed and not sleep. That way I will be tired and cranky when I go to Walmart tomorrow. Banana Cafe

<p>On Christmas Day we joined our friends for a beautiful meal in <a href="http://bananacafekw.com">Banana Cafe</a></p><p>The ambiance and setting was fabulous - we sat out on roof terrace.  The company was super and the food was gorgeous along with some nice wine.  I started with lobster ravioli which were amazing.  I then had the ribeye for main.  I didn't go for dessert as there was no key lime pie on a stick! ;-)</p><p>All in all a really brilliant evening and loved meeting up with our friends - Hello P&A if you are reading! </p><p>Highlight of the night was meeting Lady Gaga!!!!</p>

The group started as a cover band to entertain doctors at a 2008 meeting of the Society of Gynecological Oncologists. Since then they have taken on a mission "to break through the silence of women's gynecological cancer." Other exceptional people were swirled into the swing and sway of N.E.D. for only a round or two. The British biophysicist Rosalind Franklin lived long enough to illuminate the molecular structure of DNA, but her death made her ineligible for the Nobel Prize accorded Watson and Crick (who barely acknowledged her contribution). President Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, raised two remarkable children while completing a Ph.D. in anthropology and helping to establish micro-industries in Indonesia before she was misdiagnosed with one gynecological disease and died of another. Because the situation is this: 17 percent of children in the United States <a href="http://www.cdc.gov/obesity/childhood/" style="color: rgb(102, 102, 153); text-decoration: underline; ">are obese</a>, 16 percent <a href="http://www.ers.usda.gov/publications/eib-economic-information-bulletin/eib56.aspx" style="color: rgb(102, 102, 153); text-decoration: underline; ">are food-insecure </a>(this means they have inconsistent access to food), and some number, which is impossible to nail down, are both. Seven times as many poor children are obese as those who are underweight, an indication that government aid in the form of food stamps, now officially called SNAP, does a good job of addressing hunger but encourages the consumption of unhealthy calories.<br><span id="more-138015"></span><br>The doctors' piece, which addresses these issues, was written by Ludwig along with <a href="http://newamerica.net/user/520" style="color: rgb(102, 102, 153); text-decoration: underline; ">Susan Blumenthal</a>, a former assistant Surgeon General and U.S.D.A. medical adviser, and <a href="http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/faculty/walter-willett/" style="color: rgb(102, 102, 153); text-decoration: underline; ">Walter Willett</a>, chair of Harvard's Department of Nutrition (and a stalwart of sound nutrition research for more than 30 years). But the situation is different now: we recognize the harmful properties of added sugar, the importance of high-quality nutrients in children has been better analyzed, and obesity is a bigger problem than hunger. How to improve the quality of calories purchased by SNAP recipients? "There's no rationale for continuing to subsidize them through SNAP benefits," says Ludwig, "with the level of science we have linking their consumption to obesity, diabetes and heart disease." Al Qaeda and its affiliates are building up their assets in SYRIA, JORDAN and Sinai with the solid support of local Muslim Brotherhood branches. Those assets are linking up into a ring of terror, which is coiled to strike at JORDAN and ISRAEL and resort to the usual al Qaeda atrocities for thwarting Obama’s designs.</span></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal;"><br /></div><span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br /><div class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: large;"><b><u><span style="color: blue; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">Comment</span></u></b><span style="color: blue; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">: <b>Geopolitical Analysis and Monitoring</b> does not concur with claims that the US and ISRAEL are going to attack IRAN. These warmongering tactics have been used, by both ISRAEL and the US for geopolitical bargaining reasons. Both countries have no real intentions to endeavor such adventure, for the outcome is unpredictable. The same applies for US and NATO intervention in SYRIA. As indicated numerous times on this Blog, ISRAEL, unofficially at least, does not want the Assad regime to go, even if it means that IRAN is at its doorsteps, but at least Assad is predictable. <b>Toppling Assad would only make sense for ISRAEL if it was assured that the new Suni Muslim Brotherhood rulers of SYRIA would create a status-quo between SYRIA and ISRAEL, similar to that of the current regime in Syria and ISRAEL, something that in the light of developments in EGYPT and the evolving situation in SYRIA is utopia. </b></span></span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><br /></div>
