Wafer suppliers and device manufacturers worldwide rely on our measurement and inspection systems to certify and ensure the highest quality bare silicon substrates. Semiconductor device yields begin with the bare wafer, and our leading technologies provide early insight into surface defects, shape, flatness and nanotopography of these advanced 300 and 450mm substrates. Our optical inspection and metrology tools will support the next several generations of wafer and IC manufacturing.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;"> We are seeking a Senior Opto-Mechanical Engineer whose responsibilities will be to:</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Define the architecture of cutting edge wafer inspection systems.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Work alongside optical engineers to understand and engineer solutions to critical opto-mechanical requirements.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Lead the development and qualification of complex opto-mechanical assemblies.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Assume responsibility for design, fabrication, alignment, performance characterization, and technical interaction with vendors.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Perform hands-on use of conventional and cutting edge DUV metrology tools to characterize subsystem performance.  System level inspection tool operation will also be used to establish and verify subsystem requirements and operation.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Collaboratively interact with a multidisciplinary project team and regularly communicate requirements and results in oral and written form.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Some travel may be required. </span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span Arial;">Visionary 3D thinker capable of taking complex concepts and packaging them in a manufacturable design.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Capable 3D modeler who enjoys iterating through multiple product architecture proposals with an open mind for improvement and progress.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Understand complex mechanical tolerancing.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Able to collaborate with Optical Engineers to engineer a complete alignment methodology.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Top down thinker who understands all current manufacturing technologies.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Experience taking conceptual information and architecting multiple solutions and approaches to solving design challenges.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Experience with actively adapting to changing design requirements.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Firm foundation in machine design.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Experience with optical alignment methodology and tooling.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Candidates will have some combination of the following qualities:</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Experience with Opto-Mechanical design principles: kinematic design, flexures, athermalization, environmental effects.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Experience designing opto-mechanical modules and custom fixtures and tooling leading to successful introduction into manufacturing.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Structural analysis: finite element analysis, stress in optics, creep and stress relaxation, modal analysis.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Experience working with Optical metrology equipment including lasers, interferometers, autocollimators.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Fundamental optics knowledge: geometric optics, ray tracing, wavefront propogation, polarization, fabrication tolerances, environmental effects desired.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Thermal analysis: heat transfer, temperature gradients, thermal transients, thermo-elastic analysis.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Vendor management: component fabrication, manufacturing process transfer, qualification.</span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><br /></span></span></div><div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 12 years of experience or equivalent. </span></span></div><div
