In truth she was investigating for the same reasons as the Doctor, Rose Tyler and Mickey Smith - UFO sightings three months previously.</span><br /><div><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Some years before she had travelled with the Doctor, eventually leaving him abruptly when he had been summoned back to his home planet. He later left her a gift of K-9 Mark III, but that had not been enough for Sarah, who had found it difficult to go back to normal life without him. There she met Captain Jack, Martha Jones and Donna Noble and was reunited with the Doctor and Rose. Another shock was in store when she met up again with the Daleks creator Davros, who thought it was ironic that they had met both at the beginning and the culmination of his campaigns. After the Daleks and Davros were defeated, Sarah went home to Luke (The Stolen Earth / Journey's End.)</span></div><div><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Alerted by Luke one afternoon, Sarah saw the Doctor on Bannerman Road and realised he had come to say goodbye because he was going to regenerate soon (The End Of Time Part II).</span></div><div><br /></div>

Attacked by the Reapers in a playground in 1987 Mickey sought refuge in a nearby church (Father's Day) He was instinctively drawn to one of the women there for protection - a woman he could always trust, and would never, ever forget Rose Tyler...</span><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">As a child he was abandoned by his mother, with his father disappearing to Spain not long after, leaing Mickey in the care of his blind Grandmother, Rita-Anne. Following her death some years later, Mickey left school to become a car mechanic and moved into a flat on the Powell Estate. During this time, he was accused by Jackie Tyler of being responsible for her daughter's disappearance, and was taken in for questioning by the police five times. He started researching the Doctor, uncovering details of his past visits to Earth, and his previous involvement with UNIT. When the Doctor and Rose did eventually return to Earth in 2006, Mickey was quickly snubbed by them both, with the Doctor nicknaming him Ricky and Mickey The Idiot in an attempt to irritate him.</span><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Although initially hesitant to support the Doctor's cause, Mickey was able to use his advanced computer skills to hack in to the Royal Navy and UNIT computer sytems during the Slitheen invasion on Earth and hijacked a missile, using it to destroy the Slitheen inside Downing Street ( Aliens Of London, World War Three). Rose asked him to take her passport to Cardiff, where the TARDIS was refuelling, and he helped her, the Doctor and Captain Jack Harkness defeat the surviving Slitheen, Blon Fel Fotch (Boom Town).</span><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Mickey was delighted when the Doctor sent Rose home from the Dalek invasion of 200,100, but eventually accepted that her place was with the Doctor and helped her reactivate the TARDIS and return to the Game Station (Parting Of The Ways).</span><br /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Missing Rose terribly, Mickey took the opportunity instead to keep Jackie company, visiting her every Sunday for dinner, and helping out with odd jobs around the flat. He was with Rose when the TARDIS was transported aboard the Sycorax ship (The Christmas Invasion) Now accustomed to saying goodbye to Rose (New Earth), Mickey continued to work as a mechanic, and considered himself to be the Doctor and Rose's 'Man In Havana', carrying out surveillance and technical support from afar. Mickey followed them, masquerading as Samuel in the Torchwood Institute, and was reunited with the Doctor and Rose in the events leading up to the Battle Of Canary Wharf. He was then safely transported back to 'Pete's World' before the Doctor sealed the breach between the universes, and he lived with Pete Tyler and his adopted family Jackie and Rose Tyler. His grandmother on 'Pete's World' had passed away, so he remained on his home Earth after the Daleks defeat, leaving the TARDIS alongside Captain Jack and Martha Jones. Having previously stolen a Chula vessel for himself, Jack conned the Ninth Doctor and Rose Tyler into believing the Chula hospital ship was actually a warship. A German bomb was scheduled to destroy it soon after. Jack prevented this bomb from falling on the crash site by suspending it in statison board his own ship but he was unable to jettison it. He was then rescued from his ship's destruction by the Doctor and Rose who invited him on board the TARDIS as their companion, even giving him his own key. (The Empty Child / The Doctor Dances)</span><br style="background-color: #fafafa; color: #333333; line-height: 19px; text-align: justify;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; line-height: 19px; text-align: justify;">He helped the Doctor and Rose to stop the Slitheen destroying Cardiff (Boom Town) and was then transported from the TARDIS to to the Game Station and a sinister recording of an alternative version of What Not To Wear. Jack served as the Doctor's last line of defence, ultimately being exterminated by the Daleks, although he was later resurrected by Rose, who used the power of the Time Vortex to bring him back to life, making him immortal in the process. He had retrieved the Doctor's severed hand after the Sycorax attack and kept it in order to detect the Time Lord's presence. He then travelled to the end of the Universe clinging on to the exterior of the TARDIS as it dematerialised from Cardiff in 2008 (Utopia), before helping the Tenth Doctor and Martha Jones defeat the Master upon their return to Earth. This was a ruse to allow Jack to infiltrate the Crucible, and he met up with Jackie Tyler, Mickey Smith and Sarah Jane Smith. Having never engaged in any criminal activity, Martha became an unlikely fugitive as part of the Master's plans. She teleported aboard the Valiant with the Doctor and Jack, where they were taken prisoner. She was said to be the only person who escaped Japan alive, and legends claimed that she had travelled the world in search of a weapon capable of killing the Master. Jackie pleaded with Rose not to return to the Doctor and go on further adventures with him, but this had no effect on Rose's decision to keep travelling with the Doctor. Rose did however stay in touch with her Mum, the Doctor upgraded her mobile so that she could call her from any time or place and she returned home on frequent visits.</span><br style="line-height: 19px;" /><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 19px;">Rose pleaded with the Doctor to take her back to 1987 (Father's Day) as she wanted to be with her father when he died. He did as Rose asked but she couldn't resist saving Pete's life and created a wound in time which let in the Reapers, which rampaged across the planet until Pete sacrificed himself for the sake of saving the world.</span><br style="line-height: 19px;" /><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 19px;">Later when Rose travelled to a parallell  universe (Rise Of The Cybermen / The Age Of Steel) she discovered an Earth where Pete was still alive and had become a successful business man - she however had never been born and, much to the Doctor's amusement,  her mother Jackie doted upon a small dog named Rose instead. It was only after Jackie had been converted into a Cyberform that Rose revealed her true identity to Peter but he was confused by her claims and shunned her.</span><br style="line-height: 19px;" /><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 19px;">Rose was to meet with this version of Pete again when the 'Pete's world' Cybermen  attacked Rose's Earth. As the Dalek killed the inhabitants of the base, Rose used her connection to the Dalek to end the slaughter, ordering it to commit suicide in the process.</span><br style="line-height: 19px;" /><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 19px;">Some time later, the TARDIS crew, were transported onto the Game Station in the year 200,100, shortly before it came under attack from a huge Dalek fleet. The Doctor sent Rose home in the TARDIS, condemning himself to death alone. Desperate to return to his side, Rose forced open the ship's console hoping to communicate with the heart of the TARDIS. Instead she absorbed the Time Vortex itself, granting her mastery over the whole of time and space and allowing her to return to the Game Station. Here she confronted the Dalek Emperor and divided it's fleet into atoms. The power though was killing Rose and the Doctor absorbed it from her, with a kiss, sacrificing his own life to save her from a certain death.</span><br style="line-height: 19px;" /><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 19px;">This was the first time that Rose 'lost' the Doctor - the Vortex energy triggered his regeneration and Rose found herself with an apparent stranger. Rose made the decision not to accompany her family in to 'Pete's World' and chose the Doctor over them.</span><br style="line-height: 19px;" /><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 19px;">As Rose helped the Doctor to activate the Levers that opened the breach and sucked the Daleks and the Cybermen into the Void, she slipped and fell towards the opening, but she was saved by Pete Tyler. She was transported to 'Pete's World', where she joined Jackie and Mickey. Rose now had her whole family around her, with Pete and Jackie reunited and expecting a new baby. But the the breach was closed and she could never see the Doctor again. Rose was inconsolable and sobbed uncontrollably. It became clear that Rose was madly in love with the Doctor and she was beyond heartbroken at being parted from him.</span><br style="line-height: 19px;" /><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 19px;">Sometime later Rose began to hear the Doctor's voice calling her. She told her family and they all followed the voice to Bad Wolf Bay in Norway where a projection of the Doctor appeared, <span style="line-height: 19.1875px;">he was harnessing the power of a supernova to transmit through one of the final breaches.</span></span><br style="line-height: 19px;" /><span style="line-height: 19.1875px;"><span style="background-color: white;">Because the breach was to close permanently in two minutes, the pair share one last but very brief conversation.
